Humanhood has been awarded Arts Council England funds to add valuable skills to our team, build strategic partnerships, and improve the digital and marketing arms of the company over a two year period. This will enable the company to continue to grow into an international touring company, creating work for people from all backgrounds and spreading the word of diversity.

The National Lottery funding has been awarded to 45 National recipients as part of the Arts Council’s Elevate programme, which aims to “strengthen the resilience of diverse, cultural organisations”. In Birmingham, Arts Council England is investing £604,059 of National Lottery funding into six diverse-led organisations across Birmingham, ranging from theatre, dance, spoken world and publishing.

Directors Rudi Cole and Julia Robert shared: ‘Deep sense of gratitude for Arts Council and every individual that supported us on this journey. We now start a new decade excited about building a highly skilled and vibrant team and expanding the impact and resilience of Humanhood.
